The Tiger first pride - James Sutton Sculptor

The local sculptor, James Sutton, worked in school for a week with all of the pupils in Y4.  The project was linked with their studies of India and involved first studying, in detail, the painting of the tiger in the jungle, by Henri Rousseau.  The pupils then wrote poetry inspired by that painting, researched about the tiger and finally spent a week with James constructing a number of life size models of the tigers in wire and modroc, finishing them off using acrylic paint.  Truly amazing!
