Steamed Jam Roll


  • Flour- white 405g
  • Flour - wholemeal 120g
  • Baking powder 30g
  • Margarine 195g
  • Salt a little
  • Water 200ml
  • Jam 500g


  1. Make the pastry, portion/scale according to requirement.
  2. Roll out into oblong shape.
  3. Spread with jam, taking care to spread jam to edges of pastry.
  4. Fold over edges for half an inch, roll into a tight roll.
  5. Steam for 1 ½ hours.
